Head gestures aren’t working
Head gestures require AirPods with motion sensors: AirPods Pro, AirPods (3rd generation or later) or AirPods Max. Wear both and check that NodLift has Motion & Fitness access in Settings → NodLift.
Try the gesture in NodLift → Settings → Gesture test. Without AirPods, finish a set using the volume buttons, the Action button, Siri, Apple Watch or the on-screen button.
I can’t hear the end of my rest
You can lock your iPhone during a workout, but keep the app running: force-quitting it from the app switcher ends your workout. Check the volume and allow NodLift notifications so you’re alerted even if the system suspends the app.
My workout plans aren’t reaching my Watch
Create your workout plans on iPhone and they sync to your paired Watch. Open NodLift on both devices with your iPhone nearby and Bluetooth enabled: syncing starts automatically.
Importing a workout plan with AI
Open workout import and choose a photo, a PDF or text. Use a clear image and review the recognized text: you can correct it and check exercises, sets, reps and rest times before saving.
On-device AI requires iOS 26 or later, an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, Apple Intelligence enabled and its model downloaded. If AI is unavailable, NodLift recognizes common formats locally. Import stays on your phone without sending your plan to external servers.
Adding and choosing a widget
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget and search for NodLift. Once added, touch and hold the widget and choose Edit Widget to select its workout plan and appearance.
For the Lock Screen, touch and hold its background, choose Customize → Lock Screen → Add Widgets and search for NodLift. Widgets show your current session and, after your workout, today’s summary. Use a medium or large Home Screen widget to finish a set or skip a rest.
Using NodLift in English or Italian
In NodLift → Settings → Language, choose System, Italiano or English. This changes the app’s interface, voice cues and notifications the next time you open it: close and reopen NodLift to apply your choice.
For widgets, Live Activities and Siri, use iOS Settings → NodLift → Language. The app’s Language page includes a button to open system settings. The Apple Watch app follows your Watch’s system language settings.
